भारतीय विश्वविद्यालयों और कॉलेजों में जूनियर रिसर्च फेलोशिप (JRF) और लेक्चरशिप (LS) / असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर के लिए पात्रता निर्धारित करने के लिए संयुक्त CSIR-UGC NET परीक्षा आयोजित की जाती है। परीक्षा सीबीटी मोड में आयोजित की जाती है।
